Our Team

Ryan Belton

President
Ryan began working for Pro-Tech Industrial Movers shortly after graduating from high school. Soon after this he had the opportunity to move out to Calgary, Alberta to help open Mullen Rigging & Industrial Services. Ryan quickly became Foreman, leading crews on a variety of projects, before eventually returning back to Vancouver after 1.5 years. Joining Pro-Tech Industrial Movers once again, Ryan was a lead Foreman for the next 10 years, managing some of the company’s most high-profile projects. In 2016, Ryan left Pro-Tech Industrial Movers to start Belton Direct Rigging & Industrial Services with the goal of combining his extensive industry knowledge with exceptional customer service. Belton Direct Rigging & Industrial Services was born out of the belief that this level of technical expertise and service did not mean sacrificing affordability. When not in the field or dragged into the office, Ryan can be found spending time with his wife and two sons.

Reg Hendry

General Manager
With over 35 years experience in the industry, Reg has built a strong reputation with his extensive knowledge and skills. Reg began his career as a rigger and class 1 driver working for Wallace Transfer for 12 years. From here, Reg moved on to Bremner Industrial Moving where he became a Foreman and eventually worked his way up to an estimating position. After 4 years, Reg moved on to Rodger Industrial Moving where he continued as an Estimator for the next 18 years. In 2011, Reg joined Pro-Tech Industrial Movers as the Estimating Manager before leaving and helping to establish Belton Direct Rigging 6 years later. As General Manager, Reg’s vast network, reputation, and industry-knowledge continue to be an asset to the company. When not in the office or out in the field, Reg can be found on his boat anchored off one of the Gulf Islands.

Carson Hewlett

Estimator/Project Manager
Carson’s industrial moving career began working for Mullen Rigging & Industrial Services in Edmonton, Alberta after taking time off from school at UVic. Carson quickly became a Foreman working on a variety of projects throughout Alberta. He eventually returned back to Vancouver, bringing with him industry knowledge and an appreciation for the problem-solving nature of the industry. In order to improve his business acumen, Carson decided to continue to pursue a business degree, while working for ACL Crane & Rigging and then Belton Direct Rigging. Simultaneously working and going to school full-time, Carson began to apply this new knowledge to the company, landing him his current position as Estimator/Project Manager. Having completed his degree, he is constantly looking for added efficiencies to maximize value to customers and his desire for problem-solving and building relationships continues to create novel approaches to projects. When not in the office or out in the field, Carson can be found exploring in BC’s backcountry wilderness.
